Finding the right therapist can be daunting and if this is your first time thinking about therapy you may have some questions about what happens next.
It is important that you feel that you and your therapist are a good fit so the first step is to get in touch either by telephone or email for a quick chat where we can get a sense of each other, discuss any specific queries or concerns you may have, and check that we can find a time and place that might work for you.
Next, we can meet for an initial session during which we can talk through the things that have brought you to counselling, see how we might work together and explore whether you wish to book further appointments. There is, of course, no obligation to decide one way or another then and there – it is important that you take all the time you need to make the right choice for you. We may, however, choose to look at what session times are available and what rate we may settle on if we do work together to allow you to make an informed choice.
If you do wish to move forward with me we will then confirm a regular time to meet for a weekly 50-minute session and agree an appropriate fee.
