Hello there…

I’m Farrella, a Counsellor and Psychotherapist based in Brixton, London.

Whether we feel alone or overwhelmed by the needs of others, want to experience less pain or more contentment in our lives, we can all benefit from a space to explore and understand our feelings.

Counselling and psychotherapy provides an ongoing relationship with someone trained to listen and assist you to explore your past and present, and more clearly identify what you want for your future.

As an Integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, I aim to provide a safe and confidential space to explore your experiences and feelings, make sense of where you are, develop strategies to cope with life’s challenges, and create positive change.

I offer both time-limited (for example 6, 12, or 18 weeks) and open-ended Integrative, Relational psychotherapy and counselling , usually in quiet and comfortable spaces in Brixton, South London, however during the current public health challenges sessions will be held online or by phone.

Covid -19: our new normal

One thing that is clear in these uncertain times is that we may be living with this new normal for a while. My practice remains open but will be predominantly on-line for the moment. This is to help ensure that colleagues who cannot work remotely, such as the Osteopaths, Acupuncturists and Massage therapists at the Brixton Therapy Centre, can access rooms in a safe socially-distanced manner.

I will continue to work towards a return to face to face sessions as soon as practicable and hope you will bear with me in the mean time.

The relationship between client and therapist is a crucial factor in the quality of therapy.  If you have any questions or would like to arrange a time for a quick chat to see if I feel right for you, please get in touch.

about me

As an Integrative counsellor and psychotherapist I aim to use my training and experience to find a way of working with you in a welcoming, flexible and non-judgemental manner.

I feel it is important to recognise and respect the individuality of your journey through life, and work to understand how you make sense of your world.  This approach allows us to explore the influence of the past and the challenges of the present while uncovering new possibilities for the future in a deeply personal way.

In practice this means that I tailor my approach to you, drawing on my training in a wide range of therapeutic approaches including humanistic, psychodynamic, relational and body psychotherapy.  I will not dictate a particular course of action or offer advice  but, instead, work with you to build a space where you can more clearly hear your own inner voice.  I may, at times, challenge you but will always aim to do so in a supportive and constructive manner.
